Brewing methods

V60 · VEE sixty

Hario's conical pour-over dripper with a 60-degree angle, spiral interior ridges, and a single large hole at the bottom.

  • Origin: Japanese (manufacturer Hario)
  • Availability: Common

The Hario V60 — named for its 60-degree cone angle — is the most-poured pour-over device in modern specialty coffee. The single large hole at the bottom lets the barista control flow rate entirely with their pour, which is why it has become the go-to brewer at competition bars. Most Brooklyn shops that highlight single-origin lots use the V60 on the manual brew bar.
