Butler runs a Michelin-trained pastry program with Intelligentsia coffee at 40 Water. Devoción has a DUMBO outpost of its direct-trade Colombian operation.
The footprint is small enough that you can hit every specialty shop on this list in a single morning walk from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Manhattan Bridge piers. It's the most tourist-facing coffee scene in Brooklyn, which occasionally gets held against it, but the craft underneath the aesthetics is genuine.
