Microlot

A small, separately processed and traceable batch of coffee — often from a single farm, varietal, or harvest day — sold at a premium for its distinct flavor.

A microlot is the most granular form of single-origin: rather than a region or even a farm, the lot is isolated to a specific picking, varietal, or processing experiment. Microlots typically score higher on the SCA scale, sell for multiples of the commodity price, and rotate through Brooklyn specialty bars as one-off pour-over offerings.
