An iced latte is the iced cousin of the standard latte: espresso shots are pulled hot, then poured directly over a glass of ice and cold milk, finishing at roughly 12–16 oz. Because the milk is unsteamed, the texture is thinner and the espresso reads colder and more acidic — which is why some shops use a slightly sweeter espresso for iced drinks. It is one of the highest-volume orders at Brooklyn shops between May and October.
