An iced latte is the iced cousin of the standard latte: espresso shots are pulled hot, then poured directly over a glass of ice and cold milk, finishing at roughly 12 to 16 oz. Because the milk is unsteamed, the texture is thinner and the espresso reads colder and more acidic, which is why some shops use a slightly sweeter espresso for iced drinks. It is one of the highest-volume orders at Brooklyn shops between May and October.
