About Hungry Ghost, Prospect Heights
Hungry Ghost's original Prospect Heights location at 183 Sterling Place is the brand's flagship: opened in 2012 by a Turkish-Brooklynite couple, this is the cafe that grew into a 12-location chainlet across Brooklyn and Manhattan, all anchored by an exclusive partnership with Stumptown Coffee Roasters. The Sterling Place shop is the daily workhorse for the surrounding Prospect Heights residents. The coffee program is a clean execution of the third-wave fundamentals: single-origin pour-overs from Stumptown's rotating lineup, cold brew on tap, espresso pulled tight, and milk drinks at the consistent quality you'd expect from a brand that has scaled without losing its standards. Pastries are baked daily in-house. The space is generous enough for laptop work and reliable enough to be a daily ritual.
