Hungry Ghost Coffee opened its first shop in 2012 from a Turkish-Brooklynite couple, and the Park Slope branch on 7th Avenue is one of the brand's daily workhorses: a clean, naturally-lit space with cozy chairs, long communal tables, and the kind of inviting atmosphere that makes it equally suited to meeting a friend or settling in to work for the day. The coffee program is anchored by an exclusive partnership with Stumptown Coffee (beans roasted in Red Hook), and the espresso, milk drinks, and drip are all executed at the consistent level you'd expect from a shop that has grown to 12 locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan without compromising on the basics.
