Lafayette Avenue Coffee Strip

Fort Greene's coffee corridor along Lafayette Avenue: a mix of long-tenure neighborhood cafés and newer specialty bars within a few blocks of Fort Greene Park.

  • Availability: Common

Lafayette Avenue between South Oxford Street and Vanderbilt is the unofficial coffee row of Fort Greene. Within a handful of blocks you pass a rotating cast of independent neighborhood spots, with Fort Greene Park itself a central point. The strip's character is set by foot traffic from the BAM cultural campus and the brownstone residential blocks on either side.
