No Filter Coffee is one of the more distinctive recent additions to Park Slope's coffee scene — a South Slope cafe with a self-consciously gothic-leaning aesthetic (dark interior, dramatic lighting, moody decor) paired with massive windows that flood the space with natural light. The contrast gives the room an unusual energy that's earned it strong write-ups in local Park Slope publications. The coffee program is straightforward third-wave: espresso, pour-overs, lattes, cold brew. The food side is short and considered. The whole package — design-forward room, serious coffee, friendly staff — has built No Filter a real following in the southern half of Park Slope, where coffee options are thinner than they are along 5th and 7th Avenues further north.
